Biography

Dr. Altman brings invaluable expertise in studying antigen-specific T cell responses, as the inventor of MHC-peptide tetramers, the Director of the NIH Tetramer Core Facility, and a leader in development, validation, and application of advanced technologies to understand T cell functions. Dr. Altman is widely respected for his contributions to knowledge and understanding of antigen-specific T cell responses during viral infections and in response to live and subunit vaccines.
